Show Notes

Hey there fellow nerds and geeks!

Aaron Nabus here and on this episode of the Hall H Show, my co-host Alex Benedicto and I, interview Ruben Torres, someone that I grew up with in south San Diego, CA.

He’s touching lives and and making a difference in San Diego, Los Angeles, Northern California and Tijuana, Mexico with his Love Thy Neighbor movement and with events like his upcoming “Barn Burner: The HeART of Boxing” art show.

The event takes place on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at one of the local San Diego boxing gyms, House of Boxing with some of the proceeds going toward his annual Love Thy Neighbor Drive in December.

I loved this podcast episode, not only because it was with one my childhood friends, but more importantly, because of what he is doing to empower people to support local businesses, artists and people in need.

One such example of how he is making a difference is his recent organization of donated brand new art supplies that were given to a few prisoners at Soledad State Prison. Some of the prison art work will actually be showcased at HeART of Boxing!

I’ve been to his past art shows, such as The HeART of Lotería and The HeART of Lucha and I’m looking forward seeing what HeART of Boxing has in store.

Thanks again for tuning in and enjoy!

  4. What’s one thing you learned this week?
  5. If you could have a meal with anyone dead or alive:
    • Who would it be?
