The Hall H Show podcast welcomes illustrator Ben Russel! We are big fans of his Horror and Scifi art! Check him out in Artist Alley at Wondercon 2018! This episode is also available on Google Play, iTunes, Stitcher and Spotify. The Hall H Show podcast is hosted by Aaron Nabus and Alex Benedicto.
Show Notes:
Love horror, sci fi and pop culture art? Love an inspiring story? Then you will love our next guest, full time freelance artist, Ben Russel!
Ben Russel has been a Full-Time, Freelance Artist since 2011, having performed live painting shows in front of crowds, exhibited at Comic Book and Horror Conventions, and has had paintings featured at Art Galleries in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
His portfolio contains a wide range of work, from realistic portraits, to full colored compositions of tattooed pin-ups and expressionistic oil paintings. He is also a huge fan of comics and movies, especially the horror genre.
He shares a bit of his very inspirational story with us, from hitting rock bottom to rising up and finding himself not only as an artist, but as a self-help advocate who promotes personal freedom through creativity and passion.
If you happen to be at WonderCon 2018, please go visit him in Artists Alley DL-17. This will be his 50th con appearance…so go show him some love!
Please enjoy our conversation with Ben Russel, which took place at Los Angeles Comic Con 2017.
