One of our last cons of the year (and one of our favorites) brings us to the Pasadena Convention Center for DesignerCon 2017.
This con is a little different then your typical comic con that we normally attend. It’s basically one big Artist Alley!
The focus is on showcasing the artist rather than on panels and TV/movie celebrities. Here you will find artists of all types, from illustrators, sculptors, painters, to toy makers and many more. This is a great show to attend and pick up some art for your home or as a gift.
Since it’s an event geared more toward art and it’s not as crazy as bigger cons like San Diego Comic-Con or New York Comic Con, it’s such a great opportunity to talk to artists from throughout the US and introduce yourself to new artists and art styles.
Designer Con is an annual art and design convention that smashes together collectible toys and designer goods with urban, underground and pop art! DCon is over 90,000 sq. ft. and features over 400 vendors, art & custom shows, live demonstrations, and much more! The show coordinators strive to provide a fun, safe, comfortable environment for fans, artists, and vendors to meet. Join us every November at the Pasadena Convention Center for a weekend of fun, toys, and art!
